Many apologies for the extended radio silence! Lots of updates to my personal and work life – but never fear, I am still adventuring. Kilimanjaro is fast approaching (our flight leaves June 28!), but in the meantime I’ve decided to take on another half marathon.
My dad had the bright idea of signing up for this one, and I must say I’m glad he did! It should be a beauty of a run, although it will likely be hot (the race doesn’t start til 10am). My first half marathon came in at 2:04, the second at around 2:10 – ideally I’d like this one to come in under 2:00, but with a recent bachelorette trip to Nashville and illness my training plan has really fallen by the wayside, so we shall see…
The Pelee Island half is limited to 350 participants (so wayyyy smaller than the Scotiabank Half Marathon in Toronto!), it circles the island and ends at the Pelee Island winery for an after party and wine tasting. Great motivation, let me tell you – I will definitely run for wine!
Updates to follow after the run on Sunday!
